Theatre

If you love theater, you will love our Theatre program – whether you plan to major in the field or just enjoy participation as part of your college experience. Our program provides an excellent opportunity for students who plan to transfer to four-year colleges and universities to complete bachelor's degree in theatre or dramatic arts education. With two to three main stage productions and as many as four one-act plays produced each year, your chances of stage time as a freshman is significantly higher than at most four-year colleges and universities. In addition, our Improv Team performs several times throughout the year.

You also get experience in all aspects of technical theater, including scenic design and production, costume design and construction, prop production and stage lighting.

You don't have to be a theatre major to have a good time with CCC theatre.

All students are welcome to audition for parts or participate in other aspects of productions.

In addition to providing courses and experience for theatre majors, these courses also benefit:

• Students who want to develop an appreciation for and skills in live theater.
• Students who want to become more discerning viewers of plays, movies and television.
• Students planning careers in business, education and other fields where the ability to present oneself and communicate effectively is crucial to success.
