Ag Club (C)

The Ag Club works to increase student involvement and engagement in agricultural systems and to educate and inform citizens on the importance of agriculture. You’ll participate in leadership opportunities, community service projects and educational field trips.

Alpha Delta Nu (G)

Alpha Delta Nu promotes scholarship and academic excellence in the profession of Nursing. It encourages pursuit of advanced degrees in the Nursing profession, as well as continuing education as a life-long professional responsibility and recruits qualified individuals into the profession. Members will help sponsor one educational or recruitment project during the provisional membership period prior to induction, or at the discretion of the advisor.

Open to all students enrolled in the Nursing program; must have a 3.0 GPA in gen ed courses, and must have earned a "B" at least for all Nursing coursework, with no failures in any Nursing course.

Criminal Justice Student Association (C, G, H)

The Criminal Justice Student Association works to develop leadership, cultivate fellowship among the students of CCC, promote volunteerism by conducting special projects that allow members to learn through service activities that meet community needs and provide members with educational and networking opportunities in all areas of the criminal justice field, including Law Enforcement, Courts, and Corrections

Activities include:

  • Field trips
  • Campus events
  • Networking with students and faculty
  • Opportunity to become a member of Alpha Phi Sigma, the national criminal justice honor society

Membership

Open to current criminal justice majors in good standing with the college at all CCC campuses and centers, and to other CCC students in good standing who support the purpose of the organization.

Fine and Performing Arts (C)

If you’re interested in the Fine and Performing Arts, you’ll find opportunities for performance, leadership and scholarship. Music ensembles include Spectrum, Concert Band and the College Choir. Theatre performances include two main stage productions each year and other opportunities such as student directed one-acts and the improv team.

Intercollegiate Athletics (C)

Intercollegiate athletics give you a chance to participate in these varsity sports: women’s basketball, softball and volleyball and men’s basketball, golf and soccer. Teams compete under the auspices of the National Junior College Athletic Association.

Have fun through a variety of intramural and informal sports throughout the year. The schedule is posted on bulletin boards and includes activities such as sand volleyball, coed volleyball, 4-on-4 basketball, dodge ball, flag football and an annual Elks Golf Tournament.

Media Arts (H)

Your creative side wants a place to excel. You only need training. Media Arts students specialize in broadcasting, graphic arts, multimedia, photography, video or the web. Your creativity is focused in fun and useful ways as you learn through community service learning projects, showcase your work on our student-designed website or on social media, or go on air at campus radio station KCNT. Members can work on The Black Squirrel, an online campus newspaper and assist with public design needs.

National Society of Leadership and Success (G)

The National Society of Leadership and Success offers you the opportunity to participate in empowering, skill-building leadership activities and to be the voice of student ideas, concerns and suggestions to the administration. The NSLS hosts a national speaker broadcast series for the public; has student representatives on various campus committees; and organizes the on-campus food and hygiene pantries, 5k run, trash pickup, holiday toy drives and blood drives.

Through Phi Theta Kappa, you can develop your leadership and service skills, exchange ideas and share fellowship in an intellectual climate, and stimulate interest in continuing academic excellence. You’ll also help with such activities as the bloodmobile, Big Brothers/Big Sisters Easter Egg Hunt, America’s Promise/Dr. Seuss’ Birthday Read and recycling projects.
